We tend to think small room, small furniture. But this runs the risk of the space feeling crowded.  
Instead, choose designs that have presence in the room.  
In a smaller sized bedroom, for instance,  
go for a bigger bed and concede on your side table space – this will give the sense of  wow’ when  
you walk in the room.

Walls  
Colour and texture really can transform, and smaller rooms that you don’t spend as much time in  
are an opportunity to get creative.  
Really embrace your room’s proportions and go for a dark  
colour, paneling or a patterned wallpaper, making it into a jewel box like space – the very  
opposite of bland and forgotten.

Neptune's lighting solutions.  
Lighting  
Lighting can very effectively help a small space feel bigger.  
Using lamps to light the corners and  
nooks in a room will extend it outwards, and a well proportioned feature ceiling light will draw  
the eye upwards, again helping to create a sense of space.  
Wall lights can also be a great addition  
to bring in lower level lighting but without taking up too much room.
