More people would choose 8 eyes over an elephant trunk, although it was fairly close.  
The arguments  
for the trunk seemed more focused on the utility of it (using it as a third arm or a snorkel),  
while the votes in favor of the eyes were much more focused on vanity (the fashion possibilities  
for 8 eyes worth of sunglasses, etc).

With eight eyes to gaze Autumn in the north east... sigh Just over the hills  
I could try out a number of different styles of sunglasses at once!  
Elephant Trunk  
Built in snorkel system baby!  
It would be hard to keep 8 eyes clean and clear. I don’t want to mess with it.  
I’d choose the trunk because you can use it as a straw.  
Moreover you can use it as kind of a third  
hand just like an elephant.
